Spalted sycamore and oak segmented vase
I was commissioned to make this vase around year ago for a close friend. The vase consists of just over 600 individual segments that are sandwiched between 600 small strips of black veneer. Was then turned into shape on the lathe, after that was sanded to high grit and finally a layer of varnish was applied to give it a high shine.
